Taping and mudding the seams of all sheets of drywall before painting; or if it’s not possible, then thoroughly sanding them down. Replacing old outlets and light switch plates with new covers, preferably rounded ones to match other fixtures in the room. Painting baseboards (if they’re made out of wood) using at least two coats of paint, letting each coat dry completely between applications. Applying primer to walls that are dark or have wallpaper, then painting with at least two coats of paint; or if it’s not possible, then thoroughly sanding them down. Sanding the wall smooth after each coat has dried.
Drywall Painting Service – Our Process
We will come out and give you an estimate for your work within 48 hours of receiving your request. If you accept our estimate, we will start work right away. After completing our first task of drywall taping and mudding (or replacing outlets/plates), we will begin painting baseboards (if necessary) followed by applying primer to any dark areas on walls. We will let these areas dry for a few hours moving on to the next step which is painting with at least two coats of paint. Once we have finished painting, we will move on to the next step which is sanding and finishing. After we have completed all necessary steps and allowed for proper dry time, you can then apply your top coat over the entire home or office building.
